Modern and straight forward melancholic Post Metal with the occasional outburst that, especially given the clean singing style of the band´s vocalist, reminds me a lot of Manes. Solid debut.

I've loved this album for years and finally decided that I needed a physical copy. This album really is something special. The atmosphere is encompassing and vast and the assault of desolate riffs pummel you with a flurry of emotion. They suffocate you in despair and sorrow only to allow you brief moments of release. A true gem.

Warm, heavy, mysterious and dangerously soft, that's how (DOLCH)'s esoteric music sounds. While I still adore the atmosphere, this is not their strongest album, and that is partly due to the spoken word loops that don't work; to me they are rather annoying. While they're bearable in the 2nd song, they completely destroy "Love Song". Luckily, they don't appear in each piece. In my opinion, the album doesn't match Nacht and Songs of Happiness.

Man, what a unique death metal experience. There is something old school and familiar about this album but the performance is done in a way I’ve never heard before. If you’re looking for something different, you’ve definitely found it here. 9/10
