‘Love's Sombre Death’ was inspired by personal experiences at Funkenflug Society's House of the Holy 2018, and speaks of relinquishing one's control to the forces above, around and beyond us.

Recorded and self-produced in 2020, ‘Love's Sombre Death’ is manifested both digitally and as a limited hand-crafted, hand-numbered and cloth-wrapped cassette tape of 50 copies, on the summer solstice—the 21st of June.

‘Love's Sombre Death’ features guest vocals by O-A of Light of the Morning Star, and an instrumental demo recording of ‘Fyre’ from 2012 on the tape's b-side.

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity. Favorite Track(s): Die Feuertaufe, Grabenlieder edoerfler
